Consulting

I design and build decision systems for forecasting, pricing, allocation, and risk — from problem framing through production deployment.

Most engagements are with teams that have tried standard approaches and need something more tailored to their operational reality.

"The hardest part is rarely the model — it's framing the right problem, earning trust from stakeholders, and building systems that actually get used."

How I work

Engagements typically fall into one of three patterns, depending on what you need.

Advisory & Assessment

For teams that need clarity on approach before committing to a build. Includes data audits, methodology reviews, and strategic recommendations.

Good fit:When you have a team but need external perspective on direction.
Not ideal:When you need hands-on implementation.

Design & Build

End-to-end delivery of decision systems — from problem framing through production deployment. Forecasting pipelines, pricing models, risk frameworks.

Good fit:When you need a working system, not a slide deck.
Not ideal:When the problem is not yet well-defined.

Embedded Support

Working alongside your team on an ongoing basis. Model maintenance, capability building, and knowledge transfer over time.

Good fit:When you want to build internal capability, not just outsource.
Not ideal:When you need a quick, isolated deliverable.

Working principles

These reflect how I think about the work, not marketing claims.

01

Decisions over dashboards

The goal is never a model or a report. It is a decision that gets made better, faster, or more consistently.

02

Appropriate complexity

Simple models that work beat sophisticated models that don't. Complexity is earned, not assumed.

03

Honest about limitations

Every model has failure modes. Understanding when not to trust a system is as important as building it.

04

Transfer by default

Work should leave your team stronger, not dependent. Documentation, training, and handoff are not optional.

Background

I've spent the past decade building analytical systems for companies across retail, finance, healthcare, and consumer goods. The work has ranged from demand forecasting and pricing optimization to marketing measurement and supply chain risk modeling.

Before consulting independently, I worked in data science roles where I learned that the hardest part is rarely the model — it's framing the right problem, earning trust from stakeholders, and building systems that actually get used.

I write about these topics in the articles section, and share anonymized case studies in selected work.

Get in touch

If you have a problem that might benefit from this kind of work, I'm happy to have a conversation. No sales process — just a direct discussion about whether there's a fit.

Typical response within a few days. Based in Europe, working with clients globally.
